Dipropylene glycol

1) Dipropylene glycol is the most ideal solvent for many flavors, fragrances, and cosmetic applications. This raw material possesses excellent co-solubility for water, oil, and hydrocarbons, and has a slight odor, very low skin irritation, low toxicity, a uniform and consistent isomer distribution, and excellent quality.

2) Dipropylene glycol can also be used as a coupling agent and humectant in a variety of different cosmetic applications. In the field of perfumery, the usage proportion of dipropylene glycol exceeds 50%; whereas in some other application fields, the usage proportion of dipropylene glycol is generally within 10% (by weight). Some specific product application fields include: hair setting lotions, skin cleansing liquids (cold creams, shower gels, bath lotions, and skin care lotions), deodorants, face, hand, and body skin care products, moisturizing skin care products, and lipsticks, etc.

As a humectant and solvent, used in skin care products (face creams, lotions), shampoos, shower gels, perfumes, and other products, it can lock in moisture and improve the skin feel and stability of the products;

Adjust the viscosity of the formula, enhance the solubility of fragrances and active ingredients, and extend the shelf life of the product.

Pharmaceutical and Food Industries

In the pharmaceutical field, as a solvent or excipient, used in oral liquids, syrups, ointments, and other preparations to help dissolve drug ingredients and increase the stability of the preparations;

In the food industry, used in small amounts for food additives (such as fragrance solvents), complying with food safety standards (FDA recognizes its safety).

Chemical and Industrial Fields
